• Is The Landing owned by, or a part of, the University?
The Landing is a privately-owned student housing property located just 1 mile from campus.
  • What does my rent installment include?
The rent installment includes internet, basic parking, and the first $30 of electricity. Residents are responsible for water, district sanitary (trash), sewer, and all city fees.
  • What are my lease options?
We offer an annual (12 month) term and a limited amount of short-term (December-ending) agreements.
  • Do I have to bring my own roommates?
While you’re welcome to lease an apartment with a group of friends, we also offer roommate matching and individual leasing. This means, you can show up on your own, lease the apartment of your liking, and leave the rest to us.
  • What is Individual Leasing?
With Individual Leasing, you are only responsible for your bedroom and your share of common area expenses. This means that your rent doesn’t change whether you live in an apartment with roommates, or whether you are the only person in an apartment and the remaining rooms are vacant.
  • How do I pay the rental installment or any other fees?
We accept online payments with debit/credit cards, checks, money orders, or cashier’s checks. We do not accept cash payments.
  • Can I use my financial aid to pay rent?
Yes, you may. However, The Landing does not work directly with the Financial aid office, therefore it would be up to you to wait until you have the funds in hand, and then make a payment for your rent.
  • If I am over 21, do I need to have a guarantor?
Yes. Every resident must have a guarantor. If you do not have a guarantor, you can self-qualify or do deferred rent.
  • Can other people take over my lease?
Absolutely! They would need to complete the leasing process just like you did when you first signed, however, there is a standard $500 fee for you to complete this process. You will need to move out in due time for us to inspect and prepare the room for the new tenant so be sure to check with the office for further details!
  • Do you allow pets?
Pets are permitted. Please see ask about our Pet Policy for more details when you connect with our Leasing Office.
